    • The dorms are amazing, and the whole environment is set up to help freshmen adjust to college easily and to succeed. They just built several new dorms, with more on the way, and the programs available while in the dorms keep any student from being homesick, from getting too bored, and from not having any friends. And best of all, you do not have to sacrifice your standards here in order to have fun ( College Prowler ).
    • The dorms are really nice and are getting remodeled so they will soon be extremely nice! They are close to campus and are very comfortable. There are lots of fun people and everyone is there to work hard but also have a good time ( College Prowler ).
    • The dorms are a great place to live your first year at BYU! You get a social, safe, fun, all-around fantastic atmosphere. The RA's are helpful and caring and even though space is limited it is set up SMART. If you figure out the system you have plenty of room for all your things (College Prowle)

        • I love the Heritage Hall dorms! It's fun, the lobbies are such a great place to hang out and be with friends. It does get expensive, but what dorms don't? It's close to my classes, it was pretty easy moving in, and the people are great!
        • Heritage Halls is the best option for on-campus housing at BYU. You get a full kitchen, a grocery store in the complex, and it is just across the street from all the classroom buildings. Most people end up sharing a bedroom in 6 person apartments, but the price is good ( College Prowler ).
        • I loved living on campus in Heritage my freshman year. While it isn't technically freshman housing, mostly freshman live there. Heritage is great, because you have a kitchen and close proximity to campus and the Creamery - no car necessary. Lots of fun activities ( College Prowler ).
        • If you want to have the option to cook, Heritage is for you. You also only have to share a bathroom with 5 other people. Apartment style living. Quieter, yet there is always a party/activity going on (College Confidential).
        • I have loved living in Heritage! Everyone is really nice, and I didn't realize until I started looking for housing for next year how spacious our Heritage dorm is. Even with six people, it's not too crowded; having two showers is really helpful. We've had to call maintenance a couple of times for burnt out light bulbs & a broken chair & freezer door, and they responded really quickly--from within an hour to no later than the next day. Being an out-of-stater, I love having extra storage in the basement (my roommate and I kept our bikes there in the winter to keep from rusting, and even with boxes and skis and stuff there's still lots of leftover room), and also in my closet (our room has a walk-in closet, which I would definitely recommend--it's wonderful!). (rate my apartments).
        • I thought living in Heritage was a very good experience. I wouldn't live here any other year besides my freshman year, but for freshmen I think it is a great way to go. EXTREMELY close to campus. It literally takes me less than 5 minutes and I'm in the middle of campus. It is very close to the Creamery on 9th and it is a grocery store which surprisingly will have most of the things you will need. The ward is fun. Everyone is very active and we had activities monthly (rate my apartments) .

          • Helaman Halls are good for the more dorm-like experience with cafeteria and one small room ( College Prowler ).
          • Helaman Halls are a bit more updated, and the Cannon Commons area houses awesome study areas and a huge cafeteria ( College Prowler ).
          • I would say Helaman is more social. Therefore, probably less studying time. It is also a little farther away from the middle of campus. Helaman is more of the dorm style of living. You share a bathroom with the whole floor. You have to get a meal card because there are no kitchens there (College Confidential).
