- NYU has 21 very unique housing options
- Student Comments
- Living on campus is the best way to meet friends. With all the hall activities and other sorts, it is really the best way to spend your freshman year at NYU. The dorms are scattered all over the city so you do not necessarily live on campus. The RA's are nice and the spacing in the dorms can vary. NYU provides different option for many, since it is expensive though the smallest dorms will probably give you the smallest closet (college Prowler).
- NYU dorms are unbeatable because of the location and most are old so they have a lot of history and character to them (Mikestrman, campus confidential )

- Pretty much on campus, average in every way, typical dorm (NYUstu1492; College Prowler)
- I lived in Hayden and I liked the dorm itself. It was really convenient having an amazing dining hall in the building and also being five minutes from class. I was a bit unlucky with the room I was in because it was smaller than the average in Hayden, but it was still big enough for my roommate and me. The other room in my suite was too small for all of the furniture to be completely accessible. Overall, I think I would have preferred living in Founders or Brittany because they have bigger rooms (Malino, qura.com )

Downside: 10 blocks from campus, kind of run-down, also every suite is a different size; some are minuscule & some are enormous (NYUstu1492; College Prowler ).

- "I like Coral because it feels the most like an apartment rather than a dorm compared to the others. It's small but not too small, it's pretty quiet but you can be social if you want to be, and it's in a good location. There are electric stoves, decent sized fridges, enough cabinets that it's good as long as you distribute them when you move in. Guards are nice, light bulbs and clogged drains get changed fast enough. Bathrooms are nice, too ( nyuhousing ).
