So, if you have any of the following habits, I suggest that you do your best to change them. A new semester is the perfect time to become a better student. 1 – Arriving Late for Class No one appreciates being interrupted by a slamming door, squeaking chair, and whispered … [Read more...]

White Chocolate Chips and Lots of Sugar

imagesCAT3MWI4

Making cookies got me through college. I’m not kidding. At 1:30 AM, exhausted from studying and, in my case, way too much writing, I needed to cleanse my mind, and baking always worked. If you add to much vanilla, the cookies will taste stronger; if you forget the baking soda, they’re not going to rise.  Either way they’re still edible; sometimes they even still taste good. On those college nights, when … [Read more...]

Every Class Costs a Pretty Penny

class

Skipping class is fun. Nothing is more refreshing and invigorating than spending the one hour and 20 minutes you were supposed to be in class, lounging in bed or playing video games. It’s a break that you’ve earned. A break, I often needed as much as I need oxygen (or at least it felt that way). But, there's also not much in this world that's more costly. When I break down the cost of my tuition, including fees, housing and books, I paid an average of $214 for every single … [Read more...]
